I was looking for a mellow, accoustic evening to wrap up the week and BOA delivered. The experience was more than I could've asked for. The service, low lights and ambiance were not just soothing; they were heavenly. I was greeted by friendly faces; particularly Roy, Jeff at the bar, Toxky, Elias, and Rodney. Thank you for a memorable dining experience! Jeff, the Smoke Show cocktail was absolutely divine, heart-shaped thank you.
BOA is a place in which, while living in Santa Monica, I think we must've ordered delivery at least three times per week, if not more. It was walking distance from our beachfront home. We often dined there, too. Actually, we met lifelong friends there while dining here. I always never don't talk to everyone. This lovely couple were having dinner and the woman part of this lovely couple from San Diego asked us which wine we had been ordering glass after glass of and later, bottle after bottle of. I poured some in some random empty table's water glass. It was a high end Moscato that forever will stay on my top five favorite dessert wines, which I have before, during, and after dinner. The couple ordered their own bottle after tasting ours. We were all a lil bit tipsy to forgot most of the night drunk and agreed that the next day we would, in two separate cars, go wine tasting fhe following day in the Sonoma/Napa Valley. About the food. We always always order the regular size Filet Mignon, medium well. It might occur to you by now that if we order BOA for delivery three times a week, and also dine in often, that it is one of the best steakhouses in Greater Los Angeles. I have tried the Salmon, maybe three times because I try to eat Salmon 3x/week for its health benefits. But, you are able to get Salmon almost everywhere. The steak is so tender and tasty. It's truly one of those live to eat dishes. If anyone could possibly resist this fat-less beautiful piece of meat; I have brought Vegans and Vegetarians (G-d...lesbians and their weird ideals) who could not resist at least trying a piece... taking back what they ordered (probably a Kale milk without the milk shake) and instead ordered the Petit Filet (oh, so because it's petit, it's cool and cohesive with your Vegetarianism and your very very serious beliefs(?).) But, in all sincerity and a wrench of minute pain about how people are so easily talked into anything.... cults I've started, ...just joshin, but you know what I am saying is true. At least, belief systems have crumbled for this supercalifra... Y'know, Filet Mignon. The Steak that launched a thousand ships...
BOA delivers on great food, service, and ambiance. I ordered the Porterhouse, Tomahawk, Creamed Spinach, and Truffle Mac & Cheese--everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The steaks were tender and juicy, and the sides were rich and delicious. A plus is they shave their Truffles into the Mac and Cheese! Service was attentive and professional, making the experience even better. The ambiance is upscale yet inviting, perfect for a special night out. Overall, a top-tier steakhouse that's well worth it. Highly recommend!
First time visiting Boa steakhouse for a team dinner and it was a great experience. Obviously beautiful inside and out, great atmosphere, delicious food and drink, and easy valet parking option. Our server was great and very attentive. I was originally interested in trying a pasta dish but he was honest and said he didn't recommend any haha. Love the honesty but also they should have dishes that servers recommend too! I opted for the scallops which were amazing. Some apps we tried were the tempura cauliflower, hamachi crudo, crab cake, goat cheese baklava - all a must try. The two drinks I had were also really good, especially the boa fusion which had dry ice and bubbles - so cool! Overall a great dinner and you will be well cared for at BOA!
First off, I wanted to give a shout-out to one of the, if not the best, host/servers I've ever had the pleasure to interact with (Charles). He was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu, answered all of our questions with precise details as well as offered his own opinion on certain dishes, demonstrating his knowledge about the menu. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the different wine pairings and what dish goes well with a certain type of alcohol. My date and I chose a variety of dishes as this was our first time here and because we were celebrating Valentine's day. Unfortunately, since it was the day after Valentine's day (Saturday), we were unable to try the Valentine's day course, however, in retrospect, I am glad we weren't limited to a set course and got to pick what we wanted to actually eat. Second, the decor and ambiance in this restaurant was excellent and exceeded my expectations. It was not loud, the decor was modern yet rustic, the classy blueish/gold lights were just bright enough to convey a romantic atmosphere while also not overly bright as to hurt the eyes. The entire staff looked well-dressed and the staff I did interact with were all professional with their responses and extremely friendly. Third, the presentation/taste of all the dishes we ordered were top-notch and out of all the steakhouses I've frequented, BOA is definitely my favorite without question. Gordon Ramsay steakhouse? No, thank you. I'd rather go to BOA again. We ordered the following: Starters: *Tableside House Caesar Salad *Freshly baked olive oil, sea salt, rosemary bread rolls Sides: *Fully loaded Baked Potato (cheddar, chives, bacon, sour cream) *Lobster Mac & Cheese Entrees: *15 Day Dry Aged Bone-in Rib eye + seared w/ GARLIC HERB BUTTER (medium) *Prime New York Strip + seared w/ GARLIC HERB BUTTER + Black peppercorn crust (medium rare) The steaks were phenomenal, melt-in-your-mouth cuts, with the dry-aged having a delicious nutty flavor on top of the rich, marbled beef flavor. Dessert: House-made butterscotch caramel sauce bundle cake w/ Vanilla Ice Cream topping. The dessert was so unexpectedly good, we ordered an additional serving! All in all, everything was delicious; a true 10/10 experience from the hospitality, decor, waiter's menu/drink knowledge, and most importantly, the cuisine. I don't think I've ever given any restaurant a 10/10 but BOA managed to pull it off even though I consider myself to be a pretty tough grader relative to most other foodies. Bravo, BOA. Well done! The bill came out to a modest $350 total which is incredible since I could easily see this quality of cuisine to be double the price of what we paid. I will definitely be coming back and spreading the word to more people who haven't tried it yet. I've sent the pictures of the food to a few people already and everyone kept asking me where this was since I rarely sing the praises of any restaurant in general. Thanks once again for making this a memorable experience for me and my significant other!
We love going to Boa for a date night/special occasion! When possible we try to sit with Taylor as he is phenomenal, truly one of the best servers we've ever had. We've been to Mastro's, Steak 48, etc. but Boa is just a better experience. The deviled eggs and the Caesar salad are musts to start. And if you aren't in the mood for steak, the spaghetti and wagyu meatballs is REALLY good! We've never had anything here that wasn't great. I wish they'd bring back the lobster tempura though!
Wow.... Everything was stunning! From the oysters ... bone marrow... Caesar salad prepared at table...cowboy steak... scallops..fries and especially the birthday dessert
Last week I went to a lecture dinner at BOA with colleagues/friends. We arrived early and we sat in the lounge area near the bar and had a couple cocktails. I ordered the La Quebrada, for which both the waiter and the bartender kept commenting that it's one of the best choices, and they were right it was amazing: Light and fruity and perfect. For dinner I chose the Sea Bass, and it was cooked to perfection. I definitely ate the whole thing and forgot to take a photo. 10/10!!!
I enjoyed this experience the food was top tier! The service superb, and ambiance perfectly set for a fine dining experience. Great music, beautiful views. My server Charles very knowledgeable! Helped navigate the menu and made some great suggestions on what we should try. He listened to what we wanted and DELIVERED This isn't going one a cheap experience. I decided I wanted to try a little bit of everything without breaking the bank. We started with an appetizer the Colossal Blue Crab cocktail 5/5 delicious the crab is served cold. You're giving two sauces a cocktail sauce and a tartar sauce both are exceptional delicious. The crab is nice and plump with a little sweet taste. I loved it. The French onion soup was rich, onions tender, lots of cheese (my only complaint) too much cheese. It was good probably wouldn't order it again. I decided to get the Petite Filet, this steak melted in my mouth I ordered mine medium well. It came out with a nice pink center this steak actually melts in your mouth. It was one of the best steaks if not the best I've had. I also tried the 21 day bone in Rib Eye, it was cooked well done (cringe) I tried to talk my guest out of the this lol she wasn't budging. Surprisingly well done wasn't too bad, the rib eye was still juicy not dry like most well done steaks. I enjoyed the asparagus and mashed potatoes, the macaroni just didn't do it for me. Desserts Toffee pudding so delicious I mean GOODT, I loved it nice and warm with a sauce to drizzle on top. I would definitely order this again. I enjoyed this more than the cheesecake. Alcohol 2 lemon drops. I'd usually get my lemon drops with Tito's, I usually don't like citrus infused vodkas or additives. I decided not to change anything. It was a good lemon drop. All in all I highly recommend! If you're looking for cheap this isn't the steak out house if you're looking for a tasty fresh steak accompanied by a great experience. Give it a try! LASTLY VALET park I made the mistake of parking on the street came out my car was towed smh. The most criminal thing I've ever seen. Like entrapment
Had a private event in a private room here. Appreciate them working with our corp budget and making the night great. Food was delicious, and management/service were fabulous . Very upscale feel and look. Guests all enjoyed the evening. My only area of feedback from my 17 guests was how slow the bartender was, as our corp rules required our guests to get any alcohol beverages separate from the room, at the bar. (Wish I could just take 1/2 star for that. ) Other than that, the venue is great. You will not be disappointed in the experience. Valet for $18 will make your life easier. Trust me.
